Homemade Basil Cilantro Pesto

This simple pesto recipe serves great as a dipping or pizza sauce.  So fresh, delicious, and healthy.

INGREDIENTS:

Fresh Basil - approximately 1.5 Cups

Fresh Cilantro- approximately 1 Cup

Raw Nuts- 1/2 cup (pine nuts, almond slivers and/or sunflower seeds are my favorite)

Organic Virgin Olive Oil - 1/2 -3/4 cup (if you prefer a lighter pesto you may want to add slightly more olive oil)

Hot Peppers (optional...I like it spicy) - 1-3 pepper to taste

Fresh Garlic or Garlic Powder- 1-2 Tablespoons

Natural Salt - 1/4 Teaspoon

INSTRUCTIONS:

Add all ingredients to your blender (Vitamix) or food processor and pulse until mixture reaches desired texture.

Serve & enjoy!
